Shabbat Services
Friday Night Shabbat Services
5:30 PM Tot Shabbat Services are held throughout the year. This service is led by Rabbi Groffman and Cantor Kupfer and offers families with younger children (ages 3-6) an opportunity to engage with Shabbat in an enthusiastic worship environment. Song, stories and movement are incorporated with the basic prayers. Tot Shabbat is followed by a pizza dinner and arts & crafts for the children.
6:30 PM Family Friday night Shabbat Services are typically the first Friday night of the month September through June. This service includes joyful singing by Rabbi Groffman and Cantor Kupfer. Religious school students K-6, youth group members and our own TSWE Musicians occasionally participate at this service. We celebrate Birthday Shabbat at this service.
7:30 PM Traditional Friday night Shabbat services are conducted by Rabbi Groffman and Cantor Kupfer September through June. Our Rabbi Emeritus, Rabbi Norman Patz periodically conducts a service. We celebrate Volunteer Shabbat on the 3rd Friday of the month and Anniversary Shabbat on the last Friday of the month.
Saturday Morning Shabbat Services
9:00 AM A brief Saturday morning Shabbat service is included with our Torah Study class when the sanctuary is not holding a B'nai Mitzvoth Service. Torah Study class begins at 8:30 AM when we hold a 10:00 AM Saturday morning service.
10:00 AM Saturday morning Shabbat service is held in our sanctuary when a B'nai Mitvot is being called to the Torah.
Summer Shabbat Services
7:30 PM Summer Shabbat Services are conducted by one of our clergy, Rabbi Groffman, Cantor Kupfer or Rabbi Norman Patz. Schedule begins at the end of June and continues through Labor Day.
Special Shabbat Services
Choral Shabbat Services are held once or twice a year at a 7:30 PM Shabbat Service. We are a singing congregation. Music plays an important role in our worship. the Shabbat service features Rabbi Groffman, Cantor Kupfer and a full choir under the musical direction of the cantor. This Shabbat service is preceded by a congregational dinner.
Healing Shabbat Services All our services contain a section with liturgy focused on those in need for healing in either mind, body or spirit.
