Caring Connection

“When you serve, your work will sustain you, renew you, and bless you.”
Rachel Naomi Remen

Our Caring Connection Committee is one of the means by which our Temple Sholom family transforms itself into a sacred community.  We are a group of over 50 volunteers who reach out to our temple family in a variety of ways:

  • In joy, we celebrate the simchas of marriage, birth, and b’nai mitzvot.
  • In bereavement, we offer calls and cards of condolence; assistance with shiva; meals.
  • In times of illness, we visit the sick; provide rides to doctors’ appointments; supply meals; help with errands; make telephone calls and send cards.
For every member of our Temple Family, we provide a network of support.
All requests for Caring Committee help are made through Rabbi Groffman and kept confidential.  Please call the office, (973) 239-1321.
