  • TSWE has partnered with American Jewish University to provide a college-accredited program called the Jewish Learning Experience for high school students. Participants can earn 3 college credits by completing both asynchronous and in-person sessions. In-person sesssions are scheduled for 16 Sundays throughout the year in the late afternoon.
  • Madrichim Teen Leadership providing assistance in the classroom and acting as mentors to our younger students and Madrichim-in-Training (7th graders).  Madrichim also work in the office or shadow a student with a disability or learning challenge. Students are either paid or earn community service hours.
  • ‘Wellness & Inclusion’ Madrichim Training Program (2025-2026): geared to new madrichim to develop skills in empathetic listening, mentorship, communication, inclusion for different learners, and more. Most sessions meet via Zoom.
  • MADLab: a once-monthly in-person session for all TSWE teens on contemporary topics with Rabbi Groffman. From identity and justice to ethics and current events, it’s a space for real talk, big questions, and meaningful conversation rooted in Jewish values.
  • Jewish Teen Collaborative: social and social-action events held throughout the year with other area synagogues representing the Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist movements, as well as with teens whose families are unaffiliated.
  • Mitzvah Ride: an annual initiative where teen participants collect clothing and donations. Typically, the group travels to NYC to distribute items directly to local communities.
  • NextDOR: NextDor is our teen-powered crew that teams up with TSWE’s Social Action Committee for hands-on work to spark change and make a difference in our community.
