Benjamin Yudin has been teaching courses and lecturing on Kabbalah and Mysticism for over thirty years.  In 1966, while serving in the USMC, he was assigned to the Chaplain’s Office where he met and worked for Chaplain Norman Patz.  Within a year of being discharged, he received a call from Rabbi Patz inviting him to blow shofar at TSWE for the High Holidays.  (To this day, he considers his most significant claim to fame is teaching a young and quite talented Marc Brummer how to blow shofar.)

While studying for a B.A. in ‘Philosophy and Religion’ at Montclair State, Benjamin served as both Youth Director and educator at Temple Sholom. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he entered the PhD program in the ‘Ancient Near East and Old Testament’ at Drew University.  From 1987 – 1993, Benjamin served as Director of Education at Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston, N.J.  He then moved to northern California, where he continues to teach both private and public courses in Kabbalah and esoteric philosophy.
