Our Services

Traditional Friday night Shabbat services are conducted by the Rabbi Groffman and Cantor Feibush and begin at 8 p.m. September through June.  Rabbi Norman Patz, Rabbi Emeritus periodically conducts a service. We celebrate Anniversary Shabbat on the last Friday night of the month.

Family Friday night Shabbat services begin at 6:30 p.m. on the first Friday of the month September through June. This service includes joyful singing by the Rabbi and Cantor.  Religious school students K-6, youth group members  and our own TSWE Musicians occasionally participate in these services. We celebrate Birthday Shabbat, children celebrating birthdays up to age 13 at this service.

Shabbat Morning services are held in the sanctuary whenever there is a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.  On other Saturdays, there is a brief service following Shabbat Torah study.  Torah study begins at 8:30 am when there is a B’nai Mitzvoth service otherwise Torah study begins at 9:00 a.m.

Summer Shabbat Services are conducted by one of our clergy, Rabbi Groffman, Cantor Feibush or Rabbi Patz and begin at 7:30 pm –  schedule begins at the end of June after ‘Installation of Officers’ though Friday of Labor Day weekend.

We also have

Choral Shabbats are held several times a year at 8 p.m. and are usually preceded by a congregational dinner. We are a singing congregation. Music plays an important role in our worship. The Shabbat features the rabbi and cantor with a full choir under the musical direction of the cantor.

Healing Shabbats are conducted at periodically through out the year at 8 p.m. This service contains liturgy focused on those in need of healing in either mind body or spirit..

Tot Shabbat services are held throughout the year at 5:30 p.m. Tot services led by the rabbi and cantor offer families with young children an opportunity to engage with Shabbat in an enthusiastic worship environment. Song, stories and movement are incorporated with the basic prayers. This shabbat is followed by a pizza dinner and arts & crafts are offered for the children. A Traditional Friday night Shabbat service follows at 8 p.m.  Tot Shabbat families are invited to join our congregational family on Holiday Shabbats which include Simchat Torah; Hanukkah & Purim.  Click here for this year’s Tot Shabbat & Congregational Family Holiday Services
