State-sanctioned hatred and anti-Semitism was rampant in Nazi Germany long before November 9, 1938. But that night, the Night of Broken Glass, marked the beginning of the violence against Jews that would spread throughout Germany and Austria, and across Europe. We ask ourselves: What could have been done after that night to change the course of the next six years? What if the people had spoken up? In commemoration and remembrance of Kristallnacht, join us on Zoom to hear author Arno Michaelis speak with our community about being a neo-Nazi, about how he moved past a life of hate, and about how it’s imperative to speak up against anti-Semitism and all forms of hatred when we know it’s happening.
