Sisterhood is an affiliate organization of the Temple and a member of Women of Reform Judaism, formerly known as The Federation of Temple Sisterhoods. Dedicated to upholding and furthering Jewish tradition, our women’s group plans and participates in eduational and social programs as well as special projects. Many of these activities are fund-raisers; the money we earn suppports various Temple and community activities.
Meetings are held monthly. On our regular agenda are a weekly study group; managing the Judaica Shop and two rummage sales each year; weekly arrangements for the Oneg following Shabbat services; selling tribute leaves on the Tree of Life; hosting a paid-up membership dinner, a Hanukkah Dinner, and a Women's Shabbat; as well as planning stimulating programs. Sisterhood is involved in community and social action projects, too. In this way, Sisterhood provides an outlet for the creative energy, talent and leadership of its members.
We come together in friendship to participate in learning opportunities and experience personal growth. Our activities are so varied because our members are.
